Hey! I’m Ellie, a student and a summer intern at an urban gardening nonprofit in West Philly. Stick around for recipes, info about food justice and urban agriculture, and my attempts to make awesome, locally-sourced, (hopefully) healthy food in a tiny galley kitchen and on a college student’s budget.

WHERE I WORK

Urban Tree Connection is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that helps low-income communities in West Philly transform vacant lots into community-driven green and garden spaces. These gardens connect neighborhoods and help form a community-based food system, helping people access healthy, affordable, and culturally relevant food.
